Why do I lose from joke openings so now and then?

This guy plays a crazy joke opening against me, yet i still lose, why does this happen? It has happened to me before. Games like this makes me feel really stupid and want to quit chess. Why study the (for example) french defense when I cannot even beat this crap! Well I am sure I would have beaten it in a long time control game though, but somehow in blitz i so now and then fail against this nonsense

don't feel too bad

1. happened to karpov & in normal time control


2. things happen in blitz

3. u played in a similar fashion, so ...

Developing and opening lines should work.

As far as the computer was concerned, you were basically winning to the end. You needed a plan though...

This is what the computer thinks, if it helps any.
