Why is it hard to play won positions?
Yes this happens to me alot. This game I did win but I blundered away a winning advantage twice in the game... my opponent missed it this time

'“The hardest game to win is a won game.' - Lasker
"How can 3 v 2 on one side with an outside passer on the other possibly be a draw?"
++ 55 a5? draws. 55 Rf3 wins. Your king must aid your pawn.
56...Kd5? loses. 56...Kb4 draws. Your king and rook do not coordinate.
"How is this not completely winning? Engine gives +1".
Any decently working engine would give more than +5, but the crippled cloud engine used in this site isn't one of them. Discard this stupid "evaluation".
Actually what you should do is review the ending carefully, this would help a lot improving your technique.
From this point, take your time, sit on your hands, and form a cohesive winning plan for white. And by cohesive, I mean: a guaranteed win, without giving undeserved counterplay to your opponent.
Also, going a few moves further:
This is a theoretical ending. Try to find the right strategy again, which gives an easy win to white, and which were your mistakes in the game.
In this game I knew I was better the entire game, but I was lazy in calculation.
Out of the opening I knew I was better, but I also know I tend to throw this type of middle game where the engine screams "easy win", but I got out played a few times...
Also, I simplified in to an endgame I was sure was easily winning but engine said it was nearly a draw... How can 3 v 2 on one side with an outside passer on the other possibly be a draw?
Thanks
