Why is this move a mistake?!

In the computer analysis it told me that 17. Rb7 was a mistake. All I can see is ways that it leads to checkmate in relatively few moves, is there something I missed?
Now I know I made some pretty iffy moves the whole game and the only reason I won was because apparently this guy was tired or something. Don't come at me with all of that. Half the crap I did in this game, later on I was like "that was stupid." I realize that most of this was a bit badly done on my part. But 17. Rb7 is a mistake according to the computer and I have absolutely no idea why.

17...Nf5, and now your knight is hanging.

What youre missing is what we all miss when playing chess.  That chess is a 2 player game.  You have a game plan, but so does your opponent.

I know my opponent also has his plans, I just had absolutely no idea what was wrong with that move, thanks for the insight. xD
Totally missed that knight over there.
