24...Rd6? ( Nf4) 25. gxf4 Rxd3 and another pawn is gone
and the game was clearly a win for black . I wish in this game with black pieces
.
Would appreciate some help analyzing this game
i hope you're joking...after Nxe3? i just do 25.Re5+...i get the knight, and defend my bishop! and win...
edit: okok nice edit when you realized you were wrong :) let me analyze your changed move
Nf4 doesn't get a pawn...because i would still do Re5+
here obviously Ne6 is your best move, but then Bf5.
thats not a win for black. you previously just said its a win...also i think you mean (25...Kf8!) then after the rook exchange, I'd go Bc4 and although this is an even (not a winning) position, white dictates the flow forcing blacks knight and rook into temporary pins. if black plays careful, and plays a good endgame after the bishop and knight are traded, this is a draw.
I think Black has a fortress draw after 61. ... Ke4 62. f5 Ke5. He sticks his king on f6 and moves his knight back and forth from e7 to c8 or g8 or c6 or d5. You can't guard all of those squares and still protect the f5 pawn.
You made a good point in post 3, but will sarcastic comments like "I hope you're joking" or "nice edit when you realized you were wrong" encourage people to help you?
I did analyzed it in details and I am very sure that this is a draw as said earlier.
I know that I did a lot of small mistakes and lost 2 pawns in the end but still I am 100% sure that its a draw.
This is all my own analysis, and not checked by engine. So it will all probably be refuted by you guys. It's just a stoned rant more than anything meaningful.
First off, i think he was being overconfident by playing 7.g5 . I would definitely have thought about punishing him with 8.Be5, or maybe even a sac on g5. I don't think he has the time to generate any meaningful attack on your king, and i believe that his king is much more vulnerable, whichever way he tries to castle or run/hide. He is severely underdeveloped, and i would seriously analyze a sac on g4(someone help me out please, what would you guys play after Nxg5, then Bxg5, and what do you guys think of the position?). But yeah, Objectively Be5 would probably be the safer and stronger move? I really don't like Bxb8, trading an active piece for an inactive one and activating his rook..
10.Qb3, i would probably have gone for Qe2, and try get a tempo on his Queen with Rc1 etc. Isn't that like one of the basic ideas behind poisoned pawn variations? Havent really analyzed this line at all. However, it looks pretty solid and seems more 'principled' than trading his vulnerable Queen off which you could of hopefully used to gain tempo.
I'll stop here because i suck at endgames too(and at chess in general) lol

I am hoping, it will encorage those who want to help, to actually think about what they say. I am sure physicist realized that was a mistake in seconds, therefore he was obviously carelessly posting! that is all i meant.
anyway thank you, you are absolutely correct. that is a draw.
ex0, i think i played the early game alright other than thinking that development would make up for the pawn; which he was able to equalize upon.
sarang, thanks for analyzing your own game. good to hear from you. hope we can play in the future :)
Hi, this is a game i feel like at one point would have easily ended up in a draw, we played a tough king rook bishop pawn vs king rook knight pawn endgame in which i eventually maneuvered into a winning position. Where do you think black went wrong? I myself am not sure as I find my endgame (definitely my weakness) kind of an intuitive rather than a learned one so I'd appreciate some insight into what you think black could have done to play for a draw.
just quick note that even though I won on time, the ending position was a clear win for me.
