Thankyou TwoMove, you are right about the Tals Gambit. I was rhyming off those moves from the top of my head and missed the whole point of the weak c4 :P.
Such a failure... :P

Your post wasn't too far out of line, howlieboy. But FWIW, GoAdelaideUnited's rating has improved since that game, and is currently higher than everyone in this thread who made fun of him.
How do you like them apples?
ummmm......no its not...take a look....

its far below mine
Hello again. I am showcasing another game, this time as a more experienced player. I am not where I want to be yet but I am chugging along with improvements every month. I am confident I will hit 1600 by this summer.
See my first post here.....

I play people within 100 points of me exclusively and as time goes on, I cannot figure out why people at my level open up their kingside?! I think that opening is a little beyond their skill because everytime an opponent does this, it leads to my devestating victory. For those of you out there who have no idea what im talking about just click through the first three moves of this game. It seems elementary but A LOT of people fall for this little trap once they open up their king side.
Hope you enjoy : )

14 move resignation...yet another reason why YOU DONT MAKE OPENING BLUNDERS
shut up you geek
Ah, possible, I was looking at Online Chess ratings, didn't realize you were talking about Live. Even more reason, though, really... I make a lot of dumb moves in Live.
shut up you geek
jeez man. no need for name calling.
May I point out, howlie... that if you really do get as good as you anticipate, there comes some responsibility. One of those responsibilities is that you show a little bit of class over the board and after the game. No point making everyone hate you :P... save that for the REAL Grandmasters :D
hey if this guy ticked you off (made you mad) by saying that you cheated, lol dont worry he did the same thing to me when I beat him...he said I cant checkmate him properly wah wah you have to hold me in one spot to win (two squares with his king only). Out of spite I let him draw the second game since maybe he might just be a kid I dont know anymore lol. He claims he is this bigshot tournament player over in Australia and that he plays in some league or something, but yeah that game wasnt played very good by him. Just thought I would let everyone know...
I can't imagine a single serious chess player who's never fallen play to an opening trap at some point in his/her life.
As many people have already pointed out, f4 is PERFECTLY playable at our levels. He simply made a poor decision with fxe4, and that was the end of the game. Even Kramnik missed a mate in 1.
There's no reason he won't be able to tutor fresh newbies on how to play Chess. You don't have to be an 1800 player to understand basic principles (i.e.-attacking the center, developing your pieces, etc.).
I noticed this is a live game 15/10 if you should play me sometime you'll see my live chess my rating is 1400+ because I goof around and try weird stuff, yesterday I left a rook hanging and my opponent missed it so I still won, see my games you will be amazed at my goof ups and I wouldnt be suprised if someone feels good or rips me expecially when they see my more serious online rating is 2000+. Dont forget that for some people chess is just fun.
TO EVERYONE THAT IS PISSED AT ME:
I POSTED THIS IN THE "Game Showcase" PART OF THE FORUM....THE PART OF THE FORUM THAT IS MEANT FOR BRAGGING RIGHTS LIKE THIS. GO TO THE OTHER HUNDRED PARTS OF THE FORUM IF U ARE SICK OF IT.
There is an opening Grand Prix with Pf4 generally the third move i think preferably! i have started playing this against the sicilian!
I definetely suggest to you to play people higher than you also mate! Play a few people 200-400 points higher and maybe as the game goes on ask them questions about moves a few moves ago and ask them to explain why they did it! Also it might be good to play someone rated much higher in an unrated game and ask them to explain their thought process and also any help/advice they might give you!
Not that I'm above playing for traps when the circumstances are right!
