were you playing checkers?

An interesting game u 2 had. Yes full of mistakes but not boring. Some advice would be to develop more before u attack. Protect ur piece better so they dont get taken from you. Other then that not a bad game keep up the good work.

Typical of beginner/scholastic level games where the outcome has little relationship to the game.

HI good game!

Avatar of CerebralAssassin

lol that was a pretty funny game!!I love how some opponents 1 minute they're tearing you apart and the next minute they make a fatal mistake!!

Avatar of Kaidanov_Apprentice

This is surely a joke.....it didnt really matter what happned both sides played bad and I suppose the saying is true. "Never resign if you're under 1200, you always have back rank."

Avatar of turkey_12345act

Wow . . . that's hilarious!!!

Isn't youngblood the one that thought the stalemate rule should be done away with?

Avatar of Lysis

Ya'll ease up...yes he has a smart alec attitude based on his post about the stalemate (and be sure to work on that kid)...but we shouldn't destroy his affinity for the game based on his skill level.

I agree.  He is new to the game and some encouragement is important.  As Chess players we should be looking to share our wisdom, not laugh in his face, especially not considering he is a junior. Undecided

People should have the intelligence to understand their place and the hardheadedness to endure some Schadenfreude when they've stepped out of it.  In this case, the OP deserves to be laughed at a little.  When I was as bad as the OP, I knew I was awful and worked to get better.  Now I have a better rating than 90% of people on this site but I still know I'm bad because I understand my place.  I wouldn't show off a game on the forums unless I had thoroughly analyzed it with chess software and confirmed that the game was played at a much higher skill level than my rating.

There's no point in defending him here, in my opinion.
