Me cheat? You are delusional, with bad info.... Bob
I think you posted in the wrong thread.
yeah he likes to accuse his opponents of cheating when they beat him in long grinds. At least that is the way my two games with him turned out, into long grinds. One of the games he made a silly blunder and I apparently needed a computer to see what I could take his knight and win the game :O. The other game just turned out into a winning game for me because I studied king and pawn endgames and knew the position was winning for me and knew what to do. Normally when I play a game I often lose because I cannot find anything to do and make stupid moves and lose the game, especially on online chess. Or I am making normal developing moves when my opponent has a winning threat that I did not take the time to look for... But when I played this guy I actually thought the games where going to be both drawn at one point, but he made foolish mistakes on both games that costed him the game. In one of the games he made a basic endgame mistake, which leads me to believe he doesn't know much about the end game. Also, in the other game, he just merely made a blunder at the end. I think he stopped thinking about his moves and just started to make random moves with his king, and that costed him the game.
Anyway, I don't cheat. I wouldn't understand why someone would think I cheated just by looking at my games, due to the fact that I often lose after making very silly mistakes. In the past I wrote a post on how I think online chess is a waste of time because more often than not I think most people lose because they just make moves without giving it much thought because they are bored or don't have enough time to keep re-evaluating the position after leaving the game for a day or so... But now I see it's all about just making good moves by taking your time to play your said move, and re-evaluating the position, taking notes on the game, etc.
I'm not concerned with my online chess right now though, but it makes me laugh when you get people like this who think you are cheating and obviously don't even bother to look at the other games you have played to check that theory.
I can see why he would think I cheated, as I didn't really make any mistakes in those two games that I played against him. I think I just got lucky I didn't make a stupid move, or he just played too passively and did not make any threats because if he did I probably wouldn't have seen them as I was play over 80 games when I started playing him I didn't have any time to really play them all I just made moves.
Anyway, my last thoughts are... This guy needs to realize that cheating really only gets noticed when someone rated 1500 beats someone rated 2300. Most people that stay in their rating, don't cheat. But if you see someone play a bunch of games and raised his rating very quickly than maybe he might be cheating, but it's a might. No one would really know until chess.com uses their software to figure out if they are cheating, and in my opinion, I don't think that is full proof, but they can go ahead and believe they "know" someone cheated when they said they cheated.
Moral of the story is, just because someone doesn't make any mistakes, doesn't mean they cheated. It jcould also mean they where really into the game, and played good chess.
Recently I played a game where I made really dumb moves and ended up losing materal. However, I saw a winning continuation if I just sacced my rook, but he found a knight sacrifice that costed me the game. Did he cheat? No way, he just merely thought about his move and understood if he just moved his king out of the way I would have a winning position and knew he had to find another move, and that knight sac was it. I lost the game. I thought maybe he possibly cheated, but I looked at his games and saw that he is a good player, and its record really doesn't show that he cheats frequently. His rating actually took a hit recently... Anyway, I remembered this guy and knew, yup, to think he cheated just because of yada yada yada, yeah, I don't want to follow that same line of reasoning.
Learn to be more tactful, and don't accuse people of cheating, just take the games to chess.com, and say nothing. At least you wouldn't get a bad rap that way. Those are just my thoughts. It's up to you on how you handle losing. If you want to think you cannot possibly have lost that game unless they cheated then go ahead, but don't try and accuse me of anything, it just makes you look silly when the other person knows they didn't cheat and you are there accusing them of cheating with no real evidence but a single game, which isn't really evidence at all.
