Nice, this one is good.

Since the Kxa2 would be in the diagonal of the queening square at g8 and the g-pawn gains an extra tempo from being on second rank, I would have played 37. Kxf4 followed by g4, which takes out the remaining pawn and queens with initiative and check. It has all the advantages of your actual move h4, plus more. Either move wins tho.

A great game immo! I know from being on the receiving end just how good you are at the one minute stuff!  Bearing in mind that you were  both playing at around one and a quarter seconds a move I think you both deserve congratulations, and at this speed theres no one good enough to consistently find the best move every time.

Nice job. Hats off to you. I throw away pieces and self mate as the flag falls when I play 1min.

That said, the endgame position you reach at move 34 is worth a much longer look than 1 min, it's really neat. I've been studying it the better part of an hour! Black could force a draw.  He played Kc4 --which fails... but if he plays Ke4 he forces a draw, and I found some worthwhile variations that are pretty & instructive IMO... OOOPs, diagram should have started at move 34 but I blew it -- please fast forward to move 34 where my annotations start.

*edit -- my annotation at move 39... "and now Black should simply bounce back and forth between Kh4 and Kg3" is not accurate -- it leads to the same variation explored after Kg3?!  The simpler draw was 39...f3

Cool analysis!

Hey immortalgamer, I know something about your profile picture (on your profile page) that I bet you wouldn't want other people to know...

You have to push move to c5 instead of c4 to win. C4 allows black to reach the corner first.

No I'm guessing they knew that already.  Actually, I know the person in that profile, personally.  Funny thing.  It's my best friend's, older brother's friend.  I know that's not easy to follow.  But here is the other funny thing.  It's not you.  He doesn't play chess at all.  And certainly doesn't live in Oregon.  And he's not a graphic designer.  You need to do a better background check before you randomly find pictures off the internet and try to pass them off as your own.  It's beyond pathetic.

HUH?  Are you suggesting I'm not the guy in the photos.  I only know guy I know in N.Y personally is a guy named Josh.  Also.  Just because I think this is funny and of course don't like slander.  I'll make a quick youtube video of myself and post it when I get a moment.  If you do indeed know me then I'm quite curious as to why you don't know where I live and that I play chess.  Pretty much everyone who knows me knows I play chess.

Would love to hear what you have to say now....

yeah but hang on, as I understand it he is saying you stole that profile picture? if that is so, your video proves nothing.

What are you talking about? It proves everything.

ImmortalGamer, we had a chat here a while back and you said you never heard of the reality show "Average Joe : Hawaii", which obviously lead to my suspicion.  I watched that show and remembered the person in your profile pic was on it.  I didn't assume you would deny being on it like you did, so I figured you had just hijacked the picture from the internet.

WOW, I was totally wrong, and I am completely sorry.  I'll delete my other comment immediately.

I can't believe you paid that guy who is a look-alike of the guy in the picture you stole to make that video, that is so pathetic, but I happen to be the uncle of his cousin's sister-in-law's friend and I KNOW that guy doesn't play chess or even know how to use you tube (you did it for him) and it's just so sad, why don't you just admit you're an old fat balding guy like the rest of us... pitiful.

LOL...The old guy in the photo is M. Tal for those of you who didn't know.  I guess everything is now back to chess.
