The greatest game of chess ever played was Bogoljubow vs Alekhine, Hastings 1922.
Alekhine sacrificed his Queen and both of his Rooks, advanced a Pawn and promoted it to a Queen, sacrificed his second Queen and advanced another Pawn, promoted it to a Queen and sacrificed it, and was advancing another Pawn to make a fourth Queen when his opponent resigned.
