This isn't the queens gambit and you should've lost this game after 16.Rfc1. If black plays 16...Rae8 white must play Qxg4 or Qxe8 or it's mate in 3.

Saw it just now. Not even while annotating. Lucky I still won.

Actually this game is quite instructive. Black did everything thing he could to lose but still could've won because white didn't respond correctly to blacks sac on h2. No matter how much material you're up you must be precise or your opponent might just steal the game which black could've done here.

The other way this could misfire is if you miscalculated rather than uncalculated.
