" Don't spam annotate." How do you do that ?

Who is chessking47 and when was he put in charge of guidelines? I see on his profile page he's offering coaching, with his 956 standard live rating. His price list on his Coaching page is novel . . .

"Spam annotating" is basically putting some nonsense content into your annotations.
Even very little spam annotating is enough for me to hate in the Game Showcase forum.

the 956 rating was from me accidentally logging out of a three-game chess simul.

This is priceless from his homepage:
"I am hoping for 1000+ member points by the end of the year; I'm halfway to my goal."
I hope he offers coaching lessons....

Ah. So people should instead be impressed by your 1233 CC rating? Or is it your 1016 Blitz rating that should convince people to give you money to teach them chess?
I'm glad to see the chess.com seal of approval indicating they vet the quality of people offering coaching services through chess.com.

Seriously, how could chess.com stand behind this guy's services? I'm guessing the only reason he is allowed to offer coaching services is he knows somebody. He claims to live in Saratoga, which is in the Bay Area. Isn't chess.com located in the Bay Area? USCF has two listed in California as Albert Tam One is rated 1551 with a membership that expired in 2003, the other is unrated, having just signed up last month.
I'm in a quandry Should I go with the $7.00 'Opening Study' and learn three openings, or the $7.00 'Opening Study Pro', and learn five openings? Which is the best value? Or maybe the 'One on One Opening Study Pro' which is touted as a group lesson for a dollar more. What should I do?

I'm guessing the option with the least instruction is the best value. If he offers a $7.00 Opening Study where he teaches 0 openings, jump on it.

At least this guy isn't claiming an inflated rating.
There's this one guy--a repeat offender--who keeps saying he's 2000 USCF strength. An estimated 2000. Kids .
His real USCF is 1340s but don't try telling him that. Real life otb can't stand up next to vaporous and unverifiable "estimates."
In the meanwhile he's charging for coaching services here. I just hope he doesn't screw up any students with junk they have to unlearn later.
If this sounds familiar to any of you, we went through it with this one before, and set him straight on a number of things like "estimated ratings" thanks to some experienced OTBers, like NM Reb.
The thread was embarrassing for him so he petitioned staff to delete it. It can be seen in google cache, however.
