5... b6?? (After 6. b4 the bishop is trapped, but for the rest of the game, you never trap it.)
Slowly climbing my way up the ranks!

Post #14:
3. c4? (This creates a gaping hole on d4. After 3... Bc5 Black cannot occupy it yet as the pieces would just be traded off, but the Bc5 is still a monster.)
4... g6?! (4... Bc5 was better, for the same reason 3. c4? was bad.)
6. Be3! (Now you are not getting into d4 anymore.)
8... Na5?! (Moves a knight to the rim for no good reason. One tempo isn't a good reason because you'll have to spend that tempo moving the knight back to a good square. I prefer 8... Ne8! where White has to deal with the f5 break.)
I think this will be my permanent game thread. I'll post my recently won games here every now and then. Mainly the ones I feel I played well, against higher opponents or same level.
Here are two of my recent games against the same player. Mated him both times. He left his pieces hanging a lot so it gave me an advantage.
Also, I'm not asking you to analyze each game I post unless you feel I played very poorly or unless you just want to give me a few tips or things that I could've done better. These are merely for showcase (as it is posted in the showcase forum) so don't feel obligated to analyze unless you want to. I will appreciate anything you have to say.
5... b6?? (6. b4 and the bishop is trapped.)
