i saw the mate with the doubled rooks, and it blinded my eyes to the knight moving. i knew i could force the rook off that rank with pawns, so i missed that knight take entirely.
thanks for the tip, i gotta remember to look at the board once in a while in the endgame, i miss some bleeding obvious things there. thanks for pointing that out. have to work on my endgame a bit :-)
