Yep, I got into the Vienna at around 1400-1600 (don't remember exactly...) and used it until say 1800, when it started to lose potency. I thank it, and Gothamchess, for overcoming my terrible openings as white but haven't used it greatly against peers since.

Yeah no wonder I'm looking for a new opening, still it works good enough at 1800 for me, no one is actually playing mainlines even OTB, but still it's agressive enough and then I'll probably switch to d4 or c4

To add to that: GothamChess took the vienna out of relative obscurity and into the mainstream; its "usefulness" is countered only by its continued popularity.
