Who Will Be The Next World Champion?

Will Gukesh defend his spot? If not, who will replace him?

I think will defend the championship.

I think Gukesh will lose, then regain it later.

He's not a bad player by any means, but there's no doubting that he is the weakest world champion ever as of right now. Give him a few years, though, and he'll probably make a comeback and become nearly unstoppable for a little while.

I think Caruana is a likely contender to become the next world champion, though I'm admittedly biased in that assumption because in my opinion he deserves it the most.

I hope that Hikaru will win it but I don't think that he will.

I hope Deutsch finds the algorithm and defeats Magnus.

I don't think that Magnus is playing in the world championship anymore. It would be cool if he came back and played though.

We'll see, Faustino Oro is still young and there are lots of other young chess players who are good too. There are players who are only a few years older than him who are better so we'll have to see how much everyone improves to know who will be the best of the next generation.

I don't think he actually will win because he's always on of the highest rated but he always chokes and loses.
