Underpromotion to checkmate

Ok, ignoring the two blunders towards the end of the game, after I take my opponent's queen with a winning position, he refused to resign. So I sent my e pawn on a march up the board, leading to the best checkmate I've ever achieved. I hope you enjoy it!

Knightly done.

I'm saving this game as an example of how common it is for amateurs to overlook a backward capture by a piece. I'll admit I've overlooked that myself, but it's still surprising at how easy it is to miss it. If anybody else has examples of such oversights, I'd like to see them and add them to my collection for instructional purposes. Here's another such game that was posted on chess.com...

Thanks!

Once you were that Queen ahead, you really took charge.   Many people lack technique.   you demonstrated how to dominate this position.   very well done and with that amazing checkmate at end with underpromotion.   crazy good !!
