Llama ? Let it be man. I’m off this thread for now. Watch his play (or dont). It matters very little to me. I got what I came on here for-validation that he’s REALLY good

Thanks for that from some of you if nothing else.

Be well👍🏻

Thanks for posting Rxpusher. I'm gonna leave a post for u when u return. Actually I'll send it private. It'll explain why people have been sarcastic and doubtful.

Edit: and yeah, I was gonna mention birth year too. Dirty minds... hahahaha

Well, sadly that's just your opinion. Which is like saying online language isn't real language and we are currently not conversing. Quite delusional.

the number 69 is the source of memes for my generation

What generation may that be?

nTzT my mistake again. I meant online ratings are not real ratings. Obviously online chess is real chess. My mistake 😉

Why are they not real? Are numbers online not real? Words?

The ratings compare players to each other and enable better match making. Which part isn't real?

@OP

Cheating accusations are not allowed on the forum, so I will not do that. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and trust that you believe what you are saying. I will explain in detail why everyone is suspicious of this.

Beating 2 900 rated bots (I've seen clips where IMs are struggling and losing such games) is incredibly hard for anyone. For instance Vishy bot is 2 800, and as far as I remember, Anand played against it and only drew the game. Anand is a former world champion and one of the best players who ever played game of chess. I am sure he can beat 2 900 bot but if it is not easy for him even, it is normal that everyone is doubtful that someone who started playing 2 weeks ago can do something like this.

Apart from that, your son had one or 2 terrible games in the beginning, hanging his queen and whatnot. Right after those he started playing high accuracy games out of the blue.

That kind of a learning curve is unheard of in a job or a scientific field or whatever else that requires a lot of learning. So, if you are speaking the truth and that is indeed your 12 year old son who just started playing, he is either someone never seen before in the history of the world or ... he is not (I already said what is forbidden on the forum so no need for me to say the exact word).

In any case, that is why everyone is suspicious. The chance of someone playing like this after 2 weeks are almost non existent.

Bumvinnik

nTzT the part that isn't real is the correlation of online ratings to real ratings. Sure, you're right...it is just a number system to place players of.like strength against each other. But...if you think your 2000 rating online means you are 2000 in real tournaments then you are the one who is delusional 😉

Bumvinnik

Agreed but the problem is online ratings are way too high which gives people a false sense of skill. Websites do this so people feel good and perhaps buy a membership.

they are non-existent, which should be pretty clear by now

I think that my opinion on the matter is clear enough as it is. happy.png
