Thank you for the well worded, kind and thoughtful response and for basically answering my question as to the reasoning behind the critical responses so rampant on here. I have no way to reply that won’t evoke further ire and disbelief.

You're welcome.

Look, looking at your kids tiktok it's obvious he's probably a child genius in math and science and stuff like that, but you don't just get a 2000 rating by playing 20 games against you (no offense but you're 500). I saw his game against the 2900 computer on tiktok and he's playing stockfish's moves. he also precisely makes almost 1 blunder in every one of his games. im not trying to start beef with anyone but you cant just start playing chess weeks before and start beating players that have studied pawn structure, openings, endgames, tactics, etc for months to years. thats like just learning how to shoot a free throw and then beating Lebron in a 1v1. the reactions from the other guys in this forum demonstrate the thoughts i had but didnt want to say for the fear of getting muted

Glad he likes the site! He has been doing very well so far, keep it up! happy.pngthumbup.png

We’ve played maybe 2 or 3 dozen games in the last couple years and the last time we played was in December while I was at work. He beat me handily but I dismissed it as my being preoccupied.
Now this...🤯

thats not possible, max starting rating is around 1500 which is insne,

many people study hours a day dedicated for long times to get to 2000,  jumping to 1800 and 2400+ just starting isnt something to talk about and say did not see, many people who's carrerr in chess are like 2200 rated or stuff, 2400 maybe, its not potentia, its cheating

duntcare

this is definitely suspicious or he had past experience, someone run a pgn spy

DamAvi

you know stock fish he is a good player  he is puting for horse a defence also he has many tricks that almost nowone see them!!

duntcare

im too lazy to look into caps as well, so maybe run caps on all his games using an offline engine

DasBurner

The chance of someone playing like this after 2 weeks are almost non existent.

they are non-existent, which should be pretty clear by now

I think that my opinion on the matter is clear enough as it is. happy.png

What's annoying is when people cheat in the laziest way possible... it means not only do they suck at chess, but they suck at cheating too.

It's like if someone is a bum and can't get a job, so they steal money... but they don't steal a large amount, they rob a few dollars worth of quarters out of vending machines... they end up in jail either way, but even after sacrificing their freedom they were barely able to afford a sandwich. It's just pathetic layered on top of pathetic.
