10 reasons as to why I refuse a rematch!
I don't have the time for two games. Why is that discourteous? If I signed up for two games in advance then I should stick to that small committment, but I only signed up for ONE GAME.

Perhaps the number one reason I encounter is #13, which can be simply be stated as ; I don't get two whites in a row. Had white in the first game, but not in the second. ![]()
It's a catch-22. I'll decline your rematch request because I don't like people who request rematches. If you weren't the type of person to request rematches, then I'd be happy to accept your request.
I can't do a re-match---my cat needs to be fed and she will tear my leg to ribbons if I don't respond.
Depends on if you see the other person as an actual person or as just some nameless face on the internet. Myself personally I always rematch at least once out of curtosey, I'll even talk about the game with the other person if they want for a short moment (assuming it's not bullet those games are always too ugly to want to review). And if I can't play another game because something came up I'll let them know I "gtg". It's just a respect thing, but it's not a mandatory thing. Noone is obligated to do anything and your allowed to be as disrespectful to your opponent as the moment calls for (within the rules of chess.com of course). You don't rematch me I don't care, most people who play 5+min games are decent people, when I play bullet I kind of expect a bunch of douchebags it comes with the territory. Bullet is about tricks and not about chess, people just try and quick grab points and get easy wins thinking is too hard why would they rematch anyone at their level. But I would say if your playing longer games you'll get more respectful people, I almost always get a remtach in longer games. Bottom line is that people who whine about rematches are almost as bad as those who whine about people who whine about rematches.
