In order of importance
1. Get a space advantage(by getting pawns and pieces on your opponents side of the board)
2. Put you’re pieces on outpost squares(a place where no pawn can counter it)
3. Try to give your opponent weaknesses and force his pieces on passive squares(attack a pawn and force his pieces to defend it)
4. Pile up on a certain pawn and win it
5. Use knights over bishops(bishops are useless in positions where there they are blockaded by pawns)
