14 Days Per Move!

Why did someone put a picture of me in #7? :D
But in the reply to the OP, I used to enjoy 14 days/move games. Not because I required that much time or anything, but because I had no regular access to the internet (this was way back)...
bill gates?
I see some some resemblance, but is this really him?
No.

I play a couple of people that we do 14 days because of their life... one is a officer in the new zealand navy (reserve) and can't always get to a computer the other is a student and well that just has to take priority. Granted you don't like the 14 day and can see the reason for it. Limited understanding of a situation does not dictate a particular view to be correct. I don't like wife beater t-shirts... they don't flatter my pudge, hehe but you can wear one without me becoming a whining, crying toss pot to have the pretentious need to voice it. With respect and love...

I cannot believe someone would actually list a challenge with 14 days per move! If you need 14 days to make a move then you suck and you're sorry! You really got some nerve! Mobile chess is long enough with two days.
You seem to be under the mistaken impression that you're obligated to accept the challenge.
I send counter-challenges all the time if I'm not happy with the terms of the original -- I don't think I've ever been unable to come to an agreeable compromise.
Maybe some people have lives.
Hahaha....hey man, best reply i have seen here for a long time. And i agree with you.

i bet this woman needs at least 15 days per move!
Oh, my. Oh my - What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
And ok nobody has answered who the nerd guy is. I'm guessing it has to be a fark.com cliche.

The guy in #7 is a picture of my older brother back in the 80's, borrowed from my website http://thekillerj.wordpress.com/2009/07/31/infected/
Here's a photo of my other brother...
14 days per move is way too slow for all of us!!

14 days per move can just be because some people have to go to work and after a hard days work they might not want to play a chess game but they don't want to quit their account ( I knew somebody would bring it up) so they play 14 days so that they can enjoy other parts of life

I use 14 days per move for games against a friend who sometimes can't get to a computer for a few days. It doesn't necessarily mean that either of us will take 14 days to make a move, I just don't want to win on time.

Would 13 days be okay?

and you're a twat
What if someone wants to just play casually, and not have to log in every day? What if someone wants to be able to play in such a way that if they don't log in for an entire week, thats ok? How are you harmed by others playing 14 day/move games? If you don't like them, don't play them, its that simple.

an easy solution is to just play games with people who choose a days per move that suits your needs. if 14 days per move seems too slow, simply pick another time limit. play someone like this guy:
many moves per day i would assume.
FATHER!!!!! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN???!!!

Yeah, too passive a response to flame bait.

I choose 7 days/move for all my games, but if you check my average time per move, it's only 4-5 hours. My reason for posting a longer move time is so that I'm not pressured to make a move/use up vacation time if I am busy on the weekend.
You can just check the player's average move time, and you'll get an accurate idea of how long they take to move. I don't think very many players at all take longer than 1 day/move, and the overwhelming majority takes much less.
