until I joined premium membership, all my games were 14 days. That is because I'm generally only allowed online during the weekend and didn't wanna lose on time.
14 Days Per Move!

And as an option, those that don't see it as acceptable terms for gameplay are under no obligation to play by those terms.
What's the problem exactly?
While I have already posted my opinion, in some defense of the OP, there is a part of me that is puzzled by someone who actually takes the full 14 days/move. I know some people who like to play 100 games simultaneously, and need extra time to cycle through the queue. So I know there are some good reasons for this.
Sometimes when a game actually takes over 4-6 weeks to finish, it doesn't even feel like a chess game to me. I look at it while thinking to myself, "I'm still playing this game? I just finished playing 3 games tonight at the chess club. Am I even interested in this game anymore? Why did I open 1. c4 in this game? I'm so much more interested in experimenting with the Spanish Opening right now." Is the me now that is playing move 38 on week 5 the same me that really played move 3 on week 1? Sometimes, I don't know.
No knock against people who prefer this style of chess; to each his own. But as someone who cut his teeth with OTB, club, and tournament chess, extra long games sometimes feel very strange.

Calvin, I can understand how it feels strange. Personally I want to start playing OTB anyway. One thing about corresponce chess is that you're allowed to research openings, related theory, etc, while you're playing a game. Personally I don't do this, but the point is that anything is allowed as long is you don't use a chess engine or consult other people. So correspondence chess traditionally has been considered a learning experience and opportunity to do research. But you probably know this.
Also I've learned to limit my correspondence games to two to four, so I don't get them confused.
As you say, too each his own.

Do you really think you are within 200 points strength-wise of Kacparov?
This online crap is so loose. He's earned his stripes in sanctioned otb play.

my online games are no higher quality than my bullet, so my bullet is at least 200 points stronger than your online

Candidate Master Kacparov's online avg. opponent: 1866
Rich's online avg. opponent: 1271
Comparing your ratings is like comparing apples to...apples a lot higher up in the tree!

Well, you've played for 3 years, I've played for 9 years :) And I have no intention n wasting my time and nerves on some 10 games. I'd prefer 0 over it. A good number for me would be 300-400, I should be able to keep about 2100 with that many.

Get a load of this guy!
Fourteen days per move and his opponent ran out of time or patience?

Stalin's days are numbered.
If the Secret Police come for you, there's a dark spot in my root cellar behind the potato bin.
Actually, I wanted to complain that we do not have 28 days per move.
Eeek, you know what happens after 28 days??
