I’m ranked 800,000 on 15/10. How bad is that? Anyone knows how many ranked players are there in this game?
Jalex13
You are in the 92.7th percentile. Way above average on chess.com, but still a high beginner on the grand scale of things.

Thank you. Still learning but gets hammered every time I cross 1,400

For me 1300 was tough. I struggled a lot. I don’t know exactly what I learnt that helped me though.

I have to agree 1300-1400 was very difficult for me.

The percentile actually measures your rapid rating relative to others.

Note that by "rapid rating" this includes all rapid time controls on this site, not just 15|10.

I think it was likely a slow progression. When that happens it's not immediately obvious which factor helped you to rise up the ratings ladder. The perfect combination of chess concepts all likely came at the same, opportune time to push you to a new peak.

I'm sure being in the top 90% is already good, though tanggiri has the potential to climb up to a better position.

Wouldn't 1900 to 2000 or 2000 to 2100 be even more difficult?

I don't know why, but it took me longer to get from 1700-1800. I think the reason behind this is because this is the rating range where there's a broader range of skill level. An incredibly talented player rated 1800 can play a player that just started but is at 1700. Once you pass that range, the playing field is incredibly evened, and you start to go against players that are closer towards your skill level.
