Hi all,
Any tips for a busy college student who doesn't want to spend money on improving?
I've been playing on chess.com since 2016 but didn't take improving seriously until about 6 months ago. I've studied some basic mating patterns, attacking patterns, end game, and some opening theory on the Pirc defense and Catalan. My main focuses right now are improving theory and doing puzzles for tactics.
I've heard people recommend various books and online courses but I don't want to spend too much ($50 is too much) money on chess.
Thanks,
-gavolak
