2 bishops v 1 bishop end game

Hi,

I recently played a game where my opponent had 2 bishops against my 1 - always a draw with perfect play I believe?

They played on for ages trying to checkmate rather than accepting a draw, and when they had around 3 seconds left we drew due to the 50 move rule.

If they had ran out of time, would it have been a draw or my win? As it is technically possible for me to checkmate but obviously nearly impossible.

Thanks

But no, tbh, i do think that opponent's chess pieces should be called an INFESTATION angry WHY are they infesting my SQUARES and surrounding my KING!? angry
(I'm not at all trying to make fun of the typo -- I just think that it was a conveniently funny word that popped out of it. happy.png)

Chess.com uscf rules so it would be a draw. In FIDE tournaments or lichess it would be a win if we’re to win on time
