Anybody know if there's a way to have two players on the same iPad? Probably obvious but I can't find it!

Pass and play. It took me a little while to find it but it's the same button where you pick a new game.

Chess Premium allows it.

I have this same problem. Just downloaded the app. To get started, I just want to use the iPad as a chess board and play my wife--sitting across from one another. Is this possible with this app? If so, it's certainly not obvious. I'm reluctant to download Chess Premium for something this simple. Any help most appreciated.

Why don't you get the Stockfish app?  You can choose to play both sides.  The problem, though, is that the pieces are oriented towards white.

If you mean two players playing a game, the app has Pass and Play

You can play chess the old fashioned way.

What has the world turned into?

My chess set.

Napoleon and Josephine on one side, Caesar Augustus on the other side and their entourage.

Why would you play chess any other way?

Avatar of long_quach

The way we used to play chess.

Back in the days, with camel caravans round the Silk Road.

If you talk to people in the past, you don't make any sense.

You drive your car to the gym (you moved without walking) to get on a treadmill (to walk without moving).

Go back to first principles. You can't go wrong.

I made my first Chinese chess set in 1979 in Vietnam, with discarded bottle caps and a brown paper bag.

There you go.

Ipad. An electronic abacus with billions of beads moving at the speed of light.

Wow. How fantastic.

vs. bottle caps!
