2000 rated players, how long did it take to reach this from 1700?

Hm. If you have a lot of free time for yourself, maybe 6 months-1year is a good goal. If you don't have as much time, maybe 1-1.5 to gain 300 points is a good goal for that time period.
I know a couple of friends who (played rapid) gained 300 points(1700-2000) in about 2 weeks. But that's because they had a lot of time, and they could play a lot of games.
On this site? Less than a month.
1 year? 2 years? 6 months?
