I certainly did not encounter Pork while in Morocco, though I did not look all that hard for it.

beef is not equally readily available everywhere. some places its very easy to get, other places not so easy. i presume it would be easily available to big 5-7 star hotels that reqularly deal with foreign customers.

I for one am very pleased to see Anand get to play this match at home . Its possibly his last WC match (  I hope not )  and he has been kind enough to play several matches in the back yard of his opponent's . He deserves this opportunity . I hope the Indian people will be so kind to Carlsen that he will regret ever having complained in the first place .

A bidding process should have been held, and Carlsen's team were quite right to make a complaint about the whole corrupt business - why should he just accept it? Now he has made the decision to carry on with the match though, as was generally expected. Honestly, the only people who can be criticised here are FIDE.

Carlsen needs to quit worrying about where the match will be held, and start worrying about how he's going to win the match.

If he dropped the issue right now, he will have a much better chance of beating Anand in India, than he will of beating him in France, after a four month screaming match with FIDE over the bidding process.

Even if he managed to get that venue changed, psychologicaly, he will already have been defeated.

I'm not sure how concerned he really is about it being in Chennai. I think he's just registering his disgust for FIDE's corruption and will continue with his preparation as usual now.

It appears you have a hard time understanding the perspective of an American. You seem to think that it is ok for people to push their ways onto others. It isn't, that is why we live the way we do here. Everyone is free to make their own choice, without fear of reprisal from another.

What good are titles and some money, without honor and freedom ?

What America do you live in exactly?  The one you've seen in John Wayne movies?  I've been to Ohio plenty of times, you can't fool me.

Everyone is generally superficial and doesn't completely reveal their true colors during a visit. Besides, where did you visit in Ohio, that can make all of the difference.

If they do have a nice air conditioned venue, hotel and Carlsen can get the food he is used to eating so he can better make himself feel at home, other than the travel perhaps and some of the money the participants would have otherwise maybe gotten from an open bidding process, I can live with that. It won't ever change the fact that all of these matches should be in a neutral venue and justifying future mistakes, due to past mistakes is assinine.
