Hello, i play chess since Dec 26 (2022), now my ratings are around 700, how can i get better?

I play with white the scotch opening, do i need to change that?

Now i am kind a stuck in my rating.

Hello, If you're below a 1000, I would recommend you to look at learning openings that focus more on development than attacking. For instance,  you would definitely find some value with an opening like the London System that focuses on development more than attacking early.

Apart from openings, in general it's a good habit to build a routine around solving tactics, pursuing some kind of study material. (Chess.com has great interactive lessons for that), and ofcourse, play as much as you can with the effort to analyze your games.

Lastly, if you do have the time and budget, it does help to hire a coach that can mentor you through the learning process and help you to achieve some of your immediate and long term goals. If you have any more questions, please reach out to me on chess.com
