I can never understand blindfold chess...my head would explode.

What was the punishment for trying to play an illegal move? Loss of the match?

And what if someone loses a move? Then the opponent would just win an extra move?

Crazy.

Ha, Blindfold chess. I make too much horrible moves. Such as, moving my king off the board, knocking over my king.

This wasn't just blindfold chess, but a master playing blindfold against another master playing sighted in a rapid transit chess match.... and almost winning.  Rather phenomenal if you ask me.

Alekhine, Kolty, Najdorf, Flesch all played blindfold against large number of opponents  - but the opponents were  amateurs and none in rapid transit.  Fine played here against another strong master and In raid transit,

Fine once played a four board blindfold simul against four strong players, which included Artem Fomin and Robert Byrne, in rapid transit , effectively giving them time odds of 30 sec./move to his 10 secs./move, and won all four games.

well blindfold chess requires thinking, concentration and position remembering

 Blindfold chess is for fools.  

Not so true. People who can play blindfold chess have many good characters.

I take it that the you touch, you move rule was waived?
