Philippines                For those who are so fortunate to play live OTB and live online Chess, then they might even consider turn-based online chess as their study.
Live chess sucks,to many bugs, you lose to many games by being disconnect every 20 mins or so! Yell

Non-user, if people can't use databases in over-the-board tournaments, they shouldn't be allowed to in online games either.

I use Nunn's Chess Openings and MCO which I can study also in my spare time (when I am not playing gamesWink) - good databases are not free and cost money, which I do not want to spend as I cannot study them like a book.

I do not use databases or books during a game, that is just a crutch if I've ever heard of one.  Not that there is anything wrong with it in correspondence chess as rules are rules so I'd never complain about my opponent using them... but yea a chess player doesn't seem very formidable to me if he needs to consult data outside of his own brain to choose his moves.  That's just me though!
