A way to familiarize oneself with the c4-d4 vs d5 structure

I'm searching for ways to learn these positions through and out. My goal is to be able to play intuitively without relying too much on opening theory.

So far, I would say that im quite knowledgable already on the subject, I've read through a fair share of books regarding pawn structure, however it's not easy to get an advantage when your opponent doesn't commit strategical mistakes.

Thats why I'm searching for something more, some new way or perhaps a new book which would teach me how to react in those tense central situations. For example, knowing how to retain an advantage when you accept neutralisation of your center or knowing when it's better to allow a pawn break instead of overcommiting to preventing it. Basically, things of that nature, and to be even more specific about my quarry, im asking for some book which is focused mainly on pawn breaks, how one achieved advantage after one and how he proceeded afterwards, and of course the book should be focused mainly on d4 opening structures.

Lastly, I would like to recieve advice from someone who feels that he is an expert on that subject, or at least someone better than me at chess.

There are actually quite a lot of different structures under that family. Nimzo, queen gambits, grunfeld, even queen indians.

You're asking how to play and prevent pawn breaks, which is fine. But when you add how to play afterwards that's so broad it's like asking how to I get better at chess?

What books have you read? Are you a d4 player or are you wondering more from the black side? What openings do you play?

First of all, I'm not considering nimzo and queens indian cause they can get a much different character of the game. Sure, the structure is sometimes exactly the same as in qgds, slavs, semi slavs and qgas. What I'm asking is not how do u proceed afterwards but for examples of how correct centre strategy equated to an advantage for one side.

   Example :

We have a tension in the centre with pawns being on d4-e3-c4 and blacks c5-d5-e6.. And lets say black captures cxd and white decides to capture with a piece instead of accepting the isolani... Now, i want ingame examples where one side decided to go for this change in structure over the other one and things of similar nature.

Books I've read so far: My system- Nimzowitsch, Wining pawn structres- Baburin, Shereshevsky - endgame strategy, all of seirawans books, all of aagaards books(though not completely), Dvoretskys strategy and positional play books.. actually many more but not completely like these i mentioned.

See the thing is i want to venture beyond basics of how to play certain structures i want a collection of examples in which rules are broken(example: ellecting to attack an isolani instead of blocking it) and things of that nature. As i said i want to improve my intuition of central play.
