30, NO. 3, YES.
Abolish stalemate. Vote yes or no. Give no reason, just vote.

Well planet, despite your best efforts to civilise chess.com with a clear instruction "Just vote, nothing else" we have (including admittedly this one) 161 posts with 33 votes. By the forum standards this is not that bad, admittedly.
No,I think the whole idea of changing the rule is without merit, you can't stop it from happening in a game,so what's the point

Paulified, this thread actually came about in response to a couple of other threads which debated the stalemate rule. This one, I believe, was simply to establish how many people wanted it; possibly to shut up the rabid idiots arguing for the abolition of stalemate on the other threads. Hence "just vote".

I only came on here because monster blocked me from his s**t thread..
Stalemate is a left over like background noise in the universe..the rule was the draw.

My point, Stevie, is it is just about as credible as voting to get rid of stalemate. Especially on a chess website where 34 people have bothered to vote. That will convince FIDE. As I said earlier, I do not think Planet (the OP) had the intention of seriously trying to show there was a demand for the abolition. But in post 166 you raised the issue of the lurking menace of background noise - we must unite to deal with this. Or have our humour surgically extracted.

you can vote on: Pawn promo. Castling,Queen movement,En passant....Essentially movement on peices. Why vote on something that wasnt created.

Whoa, Stevie. Again I will use the word which was a clue: humour. And are we really voting on the issue? Are we on a FIDE subcommittee? Are we representatives of our countries? The thread was a spoof of other threads. Today you have your serious head on, I see. And what is this "en passant" you speak of? We do not use silly French rules in Scotland. Unless you call it "treacherous backstabbing", which we are of course familiar with.
Quit monkeying around
