Hi. I find myself constantly distracted in everyday life by chess, and almost unable to do my daily work (at a 9-5 job).
Does this sound "normal" to anyone else, or is it just me?
-P.S: I'm not giving-up the royal game, the boss will just have to deal with me mentally analysing endgames and pondering openings all day (as long as i manage to just "scrape-by", i should avoid unemployment).
-But can anyone else here relate to this situation?
At my old job I had the same issue.. I'd play 30 minute games while I worked all the time and I'd have to try and hide my phone from my boss haha. Seriously though I've never understood why playing chess while working is ever considered a bad thing.. Sure if you got a lot to do focus on the job but if you got some down time why not analyze some positions or study some opening theory or endgames. It's good for your mind good for your soul and you're happy in the end! All things your employer would want! I'm on your side man.. Maybe we can start a new revolution or something for a better work place.
