I'm always open to chat but usually don't. I occasionally get accused of cheating after a game. I usually tell my 0-level charisma, narcissistic opponent, that "Yep!", he busted me, and indeed I was using an engine, better luck next time.
Accused of cheating! Is chat ever worth it?
Once I played against a chess.com's streamer and he called me a cheater just because I use the international flag, he also blocked me after that game
I personally dont think that it is worth to write that much text just because some unknown user wrote something in a game chat, simply block them and go on
I get accused of cheating constantly on forums yet the mods do nothing about it
Nah , you are accused of trolling and people are right
You taunt people to "chomp on hanging pieces" to get to 2500 but you haven't played in two months? Are you scared you are going to lose your rating?
Nah I'm just focused on lichess, the tougher site. The only thing this site is good for is developing your king down the middle in bughouse and rage baiting your partner and opponent.
I always chat: "good luck", "good game" and "thanks for accepting". Sometimes people respond. Sometimes they don't. But I will always be polite and show good sportsmanship.

Yet you're so active on this site, how come?

Trying to teach people how to get to 2400 live blitz by chomping on hanging pieces on this site.

You are not superior to anyone , just like that a 2800 rated player can teach you how you can stop being suffocated if your opponent plays some strategical chess.See how you like it.

He knows that but you (aka most people critizising him not you)" are lower rated" so your word doesn't mean anything honestly I could probably get a 50/50 win rate against quite a few 2500s if I'm not in tilt mode
...got accused of cheating ...
So, other than just getting this off my chest, I think the point of this post is to ask: is chat ever worth accepting, or should I bite the bullet and disable it for good? Anyone got any good chat stories?
The bunny would rather chat on the forums, notes, messages or clubs. Chat during games tend to devolve from trash talk to trash. Or just play bullet - no time to talk.
Nice cat in the pfp btw. Hey custard
Yesterday, I got accused of cheating by what I assume is some bad-tempered kiddie, but who knows these days. The game was an unremarkable affair, where I won two pawns early doors and tidied up to reach a winning endgame. But irrespective of this, my opponent felt it necessary to sound off in the chat with, "gg third world cheating ****, reported as the pathetic clown you are", and various other schoolyard insults, whilst letting the clock run down.
I must admit, I was a little bit miffed by this, and I rose to the bait a little (without resulting to insults). But after the game, I fired up the analysis, to be told that I'd achieved 76% accuracy, with a game rating of 1600. In other words, bang average for a player of my rating (currently ~1480). No brilliant or great moves, nothing fancy at all.
So I had a look at my opponent's game history, and surprise, surprise, it turns out he's one of those "too proud to resign" types, who invariably lets the clock run down whenever he gets a losing position. And I wouldn't be surprised if he also rants off to those opponents in the chat while the clock's ticking. Why play chess if it makes you so mad, bro?
