Wait!  Reported for cheated or being scum?  Because I don't think being scum is against the TOS.

Reported for inappropriate language.

And people who cheat don't do it to achieve a rating of 1800. They know that from 2000 and upwards all games are monitored - so they cheat in some games, and in some games they don't, and they keep their rating below 2000.

Not many people do that, but it's better to do without those who do.

I wouldn't bet on that...they say they "monitor the games for people over 2000", but I think that only goes as far as telling you that you are suspected of cheating as soon as you cross 2000....

Reported for being a hamster in a gerbil's world.

Come on - really?

I can't argue with what he said about me being scum, but really, that just pricks my bubble a bit.

<Robert> serious? To me it feels that they do quite a decent job actually.

Oh sorry, I misunderstood. I initially thought you were saying that you were reporting RJC.

Maybe...maybe not.

I think so too. I've seen quite a few people get nailed in just the short time I've been here. They just got a certain reoccurring cheater again on his latest account the other day. At least the site tries to keep the losers out of here.

just laugh

i understand how cheaters are a scourge for a site like this, but, this dude has it right. nobody is going to attain a title playing online. forgive me for what seems like a laissez faire attitude, but, this is simply a game for the large majority of us. allow cc to do their thing-they take it seriously. if anyone is bitter about a cheat here while living their daily lives, perhaps they need to reassess their priorities.

being a scum doesn't break the TOS. a post like that deserves a number of trophies.

I'm accused of using engines all the time (especially in 1 min bullet), and I laugh my ass off.

Avatar of Major-Burbank

given that you're playing bullet, that's quite impressive to be able to able to laugh your ass off at those time controls.

Avatar of kkl10

I think it's more impressive that I sometimes can play so well at bullet to be accused of cheating.

Avatar of Major-Burbank

players under 1000 get accused of cheating all the time, it's partly a result of the obvious cheats hanging around for so long mysteriously avoiding detection.

Avatar of kkl10

Players who accuse others of cheating at 1 min bullet, obviously have no idea of what they're talking about nor how engines work. That's why it's funny, especially among low rated players.

Pretty sure I've come across one cheater in 2|1 time control, but not 1 min.

EDIT: This is excluding connection issues, of course. There may be cheaters who manipulating lag/connectivity, I don't know. I'm talking about being accused of using engines.

Lol, I do enjoy playing some cheats, particularly the ones who need about one minute for their move to be confirmed, I've just played on a couple of pieces down and blitzed them so they lose on time, it's nice to see totally obvious recaptures taking almost a minute to be played.

Avatar of ozzie_c_cobblepot

I do not understand this myth perpetuated that it is impossible to cheat in 1 min bullet using a computer.

It may be impossible to cheat via relaying moves, but that is a pretty dinosaur-like method of cheating.

Avatar of Diakonia

Cheating in 1 min is very possible, and does happen.
