Why do players ever get awarded extra time? I just lost a game by timeout when I was up 6 seconds and each time my opponent moved he was given 4 seconds....twice it happened, and I lost by 2 seconds. I’m so tired of this stupid rule, anyone else have an issue with it?

The clock on the client is not the official one. The server keeps the official times and your client will get updated times after each move.
