During rapid games, ads pop up. I think it's ridiculous. Chess is a game of focus; why must I break focus to exit the ad?

You shouldn't get any pop-up during a game and if you do you should report it.

Okay. If I ever see one again, I'll take a screenshot and send it on this forum.

In the rapid game I played today, the following completely obstructed my view of the board. Luckily, I can exit out of them.

The site needs to know more information than just the image, in particular the click-through link. The ads are provided by a third-party and sometimes bad ads make it through.

insane

Use ad blocker lol

nah

orrrr just use a adblocker?

JHACKIL

I shouldn't have to use AdBlock to focus on chess on a website titled "Chess.com." The ads are bad, as stated by Martin Stahl, so I must only report the ads.

JHACKIL

Post the click through links so Martin Stahl can report it. (the site link when you click on the ad)

The ones posted by @BISHOP_e3 are valid site ads

JHACKIL

Yeah. It kind of looked like they were, but just in case I told him what to do.

During or after the game? Are you aware of browser extensions? You can get ad-blockers on there. On mobile, I use the Firefox browser app and I can add several different ad-blockers and you will never get an ad.

You should only report inappropriate ones or ones that break out of the ad area

REALBlitz10

Are ad-blockers free? Is it legal to use them on chess.com?
