Forgive me Lord, for I have sinned.

It's been 10 minutes since my last rapid game... tear

addictions have always relapses, that doesnt mean you are not making progress. It will become 'I'm addicted to play' to 'I rarely play'

I don't believe chess is sinful. Anything can become problematic if it controls your life and starts impacting other areas of your life negatively though. Don't feel bad about playing chess - learn how to adapt and not let chess be an addiction. Play chess in moderation and don't neglect the other parts of your life happy.png

Perhaps the wrong audience as anyone reading is presumably still playing... but any advice on giving up Chess?

It's highly addictive and offers no benefit to my life, my addictive personality won't leave it be though 😅 despite being a very poor player.

Has anyone successfully gained a healthier relationship with the game/moved on entirely?

Why would op want to give up cheese?
