But know this, with certainty: There r Black (Afrikan American) chess players, who will crush any GM, IM, etc..., that u can think of!; trust me.

Things are indeed changing, and we'll see more black grandmasters, but this here is a laughable claim at best. I trust you about as much as I trust your use of punctuation.

You're laughable @ minimum!, if u actually believe, there is not a Black Chess player who can beat, say Aronian, Carlsen, etc..., or any other "GM, IM, etc...!  R u crazy?   The fact is, u more than likely don't know of any Black chess GMs (the whole reason 4 the post), this does not mean they r not out there.  So don't trust me, trust the truth of what I said.  & if you're n Norway, u, I'm sure, other than t.v., have little 2 no interaction with Black people.

Hey, stupid rasist asshole, Hi, Szammie, I'm talking to you. First of all, Norway has black people, quite a few immigrants from Somalia (which is in Africa, in case you didn't know). And if that wasn't enough, they would probably see some spill over from Sweden, as Sweden has one of the most generous immigrant policy in the whole world.

"stupid rasist asshole" - Undecided u got some nerve; u can't even spell racist (literally)WYBA; I said nothing about Norway not having any Black people, I was talking specifically about 1 person (Steinar), & his little 2 no inteaction with Black people, 2 make comments he said about Blacks & their culture n relation 2 chess.  that's it!

Why is it, so hard 2 accept the truth that, there r Black chess players, that many of us/you have never heard of, who r able 2 beat these known, GMs.  That is not so hard 2 understand; or believe.  I stand by that.

SZ.

You aren't a racist because you spoke about Norway, even though they only thing you spouted was your own ignorance and prejudice. You are a stupid racist asshole because of 3 reasons.

1. Your stupid.

2. You seems to have taken the whole "black and proud"-thing to far, going off on rants on how various black people will beat the top of the world. This is ludicrous for many reasons, one of them being, if there where amateurs that could crush the top players in the world (which there aren't) what's to say they wouuld necessarily be black? This is nothing more than a stupid, "proud over my race"-person taking it to far.

3. You are behaving like an asshole.

Changu

Am the next african gm,or so help me God..

AndyClifton

Well, thanks for resurrecting this stupid thread just to tell us that.

Changu

Haha..hie to u 2.problem is in africa we short of fide rated tournaments so our rating stagnates and our countries cant fund us 2 travel often to play in them overseas.so we only play the olympiad and a few others,so its a conspiracy u c,but hey..thats tough.so yeah, but those african american or european-livin there, got a great chance!

bronsteinitz

Strange that changu talks about his country having to pay for overseas travel. If he likes his hobby very much, he should pay for his travel himself so he sees that there is no conspiracy. Max Euwe was a mathematics teacher who funded his hobby to become champion of the world.

Changu

I sei this bcause no matter how passionate sum are 4 chess,THEY can not fund for their ovaseas travel.ok mayb callin it a conspiracy is a bit harsh on my part..i also think fide shud fund or even bring top tournaments to poor countries to gv their players chance of gettin titles..jus an idea.may not b feasible dependin on fides financial constraint.

AndyClifton

Well, considering you actually have to pay a fee to claim the title you've earned...I'd say that FIDE's financial situation is anything but enviable.

bronsteinitz

I imagine that Russia is still different, but over here they all have a daytime job that funds their chess career until they are really top and can live from writing books, speaking, starting money, prize money. I respect that Africa is economically tough, but one of the biggest problems is the idea that the community has to come up with the funding for a personal endeavour. It will not happen. By the way I looked at Changus games and score and if he's africas next GM, there will have to be à very devine intervention.

Jebcc

Yo changu keep your chin up and dont let the little punk muppet pieces of garbage keep you down.  one unfortunate element on this website is everytime someone tries to rise up and make a declaration the crabs in the bucket try to bring them down  good luck my friend

AndyClifton

Hey, whadya know, looks like we got us another Nathan Thurm...

("It's him, right?")

bronsteinitz

Well Jebcc your language is sub-zero. There is nothing wrong with keeping your chin up. There might be something wrong with an unrealistic view on one's skills and how an objective could be fulfilled. Everybody can have à go at success, but à professional evaluation and à realistic view are often more helpful than unfounded encouragement. I have not played chess for thirty years because I was busy making something out of my life and I do not find it appropriate to be called "little punk muppet pieces of garbage" by à person that has absolutely no idea who hè is taking about.

AndyClifton

Still, that "crabs in the bucket" crack was pretty heartwarming.

bronsteinitz

Are there no other sites that specialise in people that would like to "rise up and make à declaration"? Outing.com?

AndyClifton

Okay bron, I've got to ask this:  how come all your a's have little accent marks?

Changu

okay..wel as 4 makin it to gm,may b a little late..no offence taken bronste..jebbc thanks 4 the encouragement, wil push as far as i can.and i get it wen guys say no other countries fund their players 4 ovaseas travel, but then again europe and america economys r strng, hence mo sponsored tournaments,mo regularly, hence mo chance to up imprv ratin and b titled player!but hey will all make do with wat we can do.and thanks chess.com we can play here wit so many piple worldwide!

bronsteinitz

Changu, dear chess player, seriously now. I cannot judge your talent and circumstances. It is important to get professional advice and to choose a realistic path. For very few people chess can be à career, but you could be an exception. John lennon gave his aunt à plaquette with the words that she spoke to him very often: "John, you will never make à living playing that guitar"

AndyClifton

Again with the little accent marks!

bronsteinitz

Andy, my iPad prefers à over a....

AndyClifton

aha!
