You're pursuing this guy far too far... it sounds like he doesn't know what he's talking about-- there's no point arguing with someone who doesn't know what a noun is!

He's upset that I couldn't come up with a good joke. He set it up, waiting for someone to hit it out of the park. I built up the anticipation only to dash it at the last minute. Cruel.

... and, just in case you thought I was talking about you, trigs, I was talking about myself in the third person. Beer can distort the reading of a post just as well as it distorts the 64 squares!

1 word einstien! i dont think im better then everyone but i am most players , and i play programs because there a challenge and can analysis a mistake i make. playing against better apponents can only make you better playing weaker apponents theres just no point lol i would rather spend an hour making that one brilliant move then spend an hour against an average player where i dont have to use my brain

There are a lot of players here that will more than force you to use your brain; they will make you wish you had more.

I have beat Little ChessPartner on Hard dozens of times, giving it infinite time to move, and timing myself for G/60/0. However, when I play my engine on my computer with a 2200 USCF rating, I have not come even remotely close to drawing after dozens and dozens of tries! At my peak, under optimal conditions, and with the right opening and stuff, I can probably play around 1800-2000 USCF.

Therefore I would imagine that you would have to be about as good as a CM or NM to be able to draw Rybka! Going up against a GM is like picking a fight with a fully-armed Navy Seal who has the element of surpise against you: you just aren't going to make it out of there alive! You can bet your bottom dollar that NMs have got the fear in them when paired against an International Master or an International Grandmaster. They would be ecstatic with a draw, which is why I think a lot of people are wary when they hear of an unknown being able to draw against Rybka.

But again, the main point is that I'm sure you will find no shortage of opponents here that will truly push you to the limits of your skill. And from a cynical perspective, playing some people here is playing Rybka . . . =/

Quarter to nine seems like an odd time to be awake on a Saturday after a night of drinking.

im not saying im the greatest , far from i still make mistakes analyze every single match i play to get one draw against rybka after playing alot of  games doesnt take a genius to get one on reputition moves the computer was down after the opening by a pawn ,i made a mistake that game i thought after the game. bringing my knight instead of my queen would of been better for me the computer forced the reputiton and all i could do was accept without losing material
