I think I speak for many of us when I say: eh.

It was perfectly clear before this that the character Akiko was fictional. A "nuclear scientiste" who spends her spare time posing on the beach for oddly professional-looking photographs, and who just happens to appeal to the western fetish for Asian girls? This is what the fan fic community calls a Mary Sue.

I don't particularly care either way. I see Akiko as a very clever piece of performance art that highlights many of the audience's own failings. Just look at the way she is simultaneously idolized and objectified on this site. For what it's worth, "her" blog is fairly cool and stands on its own merits.

By the way, FanofAlba, how on earth did you find those pictures? Do you have some awesome image comparison spider software, or did you just scour the web for every model and actress with Japanese blood until you found the right one? 

Also, just in case anyone wants to make a tabloid "scandal" out of it, the avatar with the no-photo sign over it is really me.  I promise.

I am quite scared that FanofAlba is going to use his crazily accurate photo comparison software to track me down.  FanofAlba, as an amateur psychologist, I ask if you have ever been in therapy for OCD-related thought patterns.  

Also, on another note, why are we listening and replying to someone who, out of the millions of possibilities involving avatar names, chose to further the image of a chauvinistic male who cares about nothing other than beauty?

Yeah, it's kind of like "so what" if Akiko got "busted,"  but the fact that Akiko actually tries to defend him/herself like this is just pathetic and disgusting.

Also...about how FanOfAlba did it, here's my theory: it's easy to post the pictures on some model forum and ask people to identify the person in the picture. In the case of professional models, you don't need a image comparison software, since someone will be bound to recognize them.

I find it highly amusing that no one actually considered that Akiko might actually be the person her picture is claiming to be. Heck, she might actually be this Kazoo Sushi or whatever the heck FanofAlba is yelling about.   We cynics are caught so firmly into downplaying the intelligence of a supposedly beautiful model that we never considered the possibility that Akiko is really this Kazue Fukiishi.  It's unlikely, but according to String Theory, 1 out of every 100 Billion Particles shot through an accelerator will go through a solid object, so isn't anything really possible?

Hmmm..... a twenty-five-year-old Doctor of Nuclear Structure with 2400-rated looks and a 1254 rating here.  I'm no rocket scientist, but this formula just doesn't add up.....
