ali reza is a male name but alireza sounds female lol
Ali Reza Firouz. As opposed to Alireza Firouza (spot the difference?)
ali reza is a male name but alireza sounds female lol
I think it's likely that Ali Reza may have misspelt his name Alireza (a small spelling mistake on a scoresheet) resulting in everybody thinking world champion Alireza and Ali Reza are two different people. I bet his friends dont even know he plays chess. When he travels abroad everybody probably assumes he's off on vacation little guessing he is off to chess tournaments
And he probably has cool friends who play football and maybe the uncoolest of them play badminton but none of them probably play chess and probably take pride in their inability to play that nerd game never imagining their mate Ali is the world's leading advocate of that game and about ten times cooler than the coolest of the football players, the one who also has the coolest name of them all, probably something like Sheik Bab-El-Rah, my experience of names tells me that in the middle East the hyphen is the sign of social status.
My experience of chess score sheets tells me they are the easiest means to accidently misspell ones name.
A missed space here an added letter there and bingo you have the perfect alias.
Ali Reza Firouz may or may not have spelled his name Alireza Firouza (minus a space and plus the letter A) to avoid the media giving out his real name when he becomes world champion.
Ali Reza Firouz the quiet boy next door.
Nobody would look twice at him when Alireza Firouza chess champion makes the headlines.
Just like Ram. P. Rakesh wouldn't turn heads when Ramprakash wins gold at the Olympics.
After all who second guesses scoresheets?
