analyzing cheating.

The move list shows if there's a mate as well. Neither are considered cheating.

Im talking about ongoing games. Not the analyzing you do after the game. It does not show any moves but let you move boths pices so you can try different combinations on the board.

The Analyze option in Daily games, without engines, is allowed and it's not cheating that the move list or sounds show mate.
why does this not smack of cheating using anything outside of the playing board i thought was cheating
except for the time clocks or move tally sheet -- and in case of online chess -- everything is there already so extras should be allowed while you play --- period

Daily chess is like regular correspondence chess. You can't use engines, tablebases, or get someone to directly help you. You can use databases of games, videos, books, an analysis board (no engine)....
For Live games, you can just use your own knowledge.
