I'm not sure. I give very little thought to studying openings. I've never been a very Finnicky player in that regard.
Any good tough openings?
1.d4 d5 2.Nf3 isn't really an opening yet. It can become... maybe around half of the openings in all of chess... it's like saying "I live in the northern hemisphere, where's a good restaurant"
Playing over GM games is a good way to see strong openings you didn't know about yet, and you can pick whatever you like the look of. Botvinnik, Fischer, and Alekhine have game collection books. Zurich 1953 has many games. Tal wrote a book with his 1961 world championship games in it.
Those are annotated. Online there are free database resources like

mhm, i see.
Plus, nice Zootopia pun xD.
I'm more of a Finnicky player.

I was just wondering, I have been sticking to 1. d4 d5 2. Nf3 a ton, I really wanted to expand my horizons.
I have already expanded horizons on my black openings, I usually go for Hyper-Modern openings like the Sicilian and Caro-Kann, but I wanted to expand my horizons on my white openings, so, any suggestions?
All you need from the opening is a playable middlegame.

Could you remind me which Russian Master said that?
