I hope this is not too late, but i am 1787 currently in bullet and i have some tips for you.
1. Always Pre-move captures, so if lets say, if your opponent can take your knight, then pre-move for example your bishop recapturing, so that when the opponent captures the knight, your move is instantly played. Also, prepare another move as well in case your opponent does not capture
I have some more tips as well: Also, try to stay ahead of your opponent in time, and play as you would play for blitz chess except for the endgame. In the endgame, if you have a rook and queen and are trying to win on time, make sure your queen and rook are both protected and pre-move them one square at a time around your king. If your opponent has the same pieces, they will take longer to move and run out of time. And, responding to the earlier post about unexpected moves, they should be done only when the opponent is nearly put of time, because i once lost a game where i made those moves, and my opponent captures my pieces, then checkmated me with 0.7 seconds left on his clock. Also, you should memorize your opening and as many moves as possible.
You should also go online and search for openings that are not normally played such as the sicillian westernian attack, or something like that, and learn how to play the opening quickly. This will eat time from your opponent
