Does anybody know a website where you can talk live with gms?

Heh, as if they're a rare caged animal, confined in front of a microphone for any curious passer-by to talk to at a whim.

Mostly GMs are like people.  The way you talk to people online is through things like skype.

ICC is known for having GMs, but if you want to talk about chess, first they'll want to talk about money (their instructor's fee).

Yeah, I play on ICC and there's many GMs that would love to give you a few answers on some quick questions you might have if you ask them nicely.

You can chat with IM's and the occasional GM during the chess.com/tv broadcasts.

You cant talk with GM's online for free, without being lucky playing them or something like that, a rare example:

This guy played alot week players, throught is GM:

Maby if you have a question you can ask GM's that helps other chess players, like Natalia Pogonina.

But i think you can have some great tips by catching some GM's (or IM, FM) at OTB tournements or events. I talked with about 5 titled players, just about if they have some tips for me to get better. Many of them gave some things that i thinked alot about. Example, one guy said that reading to much opening theory is waste of time, couse openings always change. In 15 years the modern openings is busted and dead. He said that if i had ambitions i should study the endgame and middlegame that for sure not will change, and build a repertoire of solid full theory explored openings.

I am 14 years old, maby thats why titled players wanna help me a bit, but i think its worth a shot to try talk with them to give you some tips.

To talk to a GM: you'll need:

1. ICC Chess account (not free)
2. Skype application and account (free)
3. Choose a GM here: http://www.chessclub.com/activities/teachers.html
3. Buy "chekels" on ICC Chess to pay the GM (not free)

The rest of the process will depend on the way that your chosen GM will conduct business.

I read that chess.com will eventually offer a simlar payment system for lessons with GMs and titled players.
