I would take a break if its getting boring for you. when you come back you usually play a lot better.
I took a 5 month break and came back about 50 points higher at 1750
and yes, at 1400 you could gambit in every game and still score great IMO

Haha thanks, perhaps I will take a break, even though I have not been playing a lot. Yeah, I actually don't gambit a lot it was just a cool name ;)

Hey chess.com,
Do you ever feel like chess gets boring at times or is it just me? Perhaps, should start playing tactical openings instead of my normal positional chess? I use to really enjoy chess when I played with my dad without knowledge of anything about chess. Now 3 years later, 16 yrs old, and1400 uscf, I no longer enjoy the game as much as I use to. I think computers are extremley useful tools, but I wonder what chess was like before engines, computers, etc. The game is definetley developing, but it seems to be developing extremely fast. I know i'll probably get over this chess boredem soon, but does anyone else have periods of chess boredem?
Thanks in Advance :)
