i'd still take white here
Anything more ugly?
david you should play more games. its the simplest way to improve. just spam 10+0 games until you get to 1000
I did that when I first started - played 8-10 Rapid-10's a day. And steadily moved up. But I kinda LIKE being trash right now because it solidifies that Ratings are NOT why I'm here. Yeah, probably strange. And I like getting whipped (as you know), LOL.
I guess I'm on my own walk-about, wandering the desert looking for my spirit animal.
But thank you for thinking of me. ![]()

As an aside, I try to really do my own analysis and more than 4-5 a day and I get too tired, so. I believe that, once I get my 'analysis' process down a bit better/faster then maybe I can squeeze out a few more games but I'm just too slow right now.
CORRECTION: I said 4-5 a day ... I NEVER succeeded in analyzing that many. Most I could do was 2 and then the rest were fluff-pieces.
its all good to learn about stuff but you need to apply it to your own games to improve
Yeah. I have a motivation problem right now. Even thinking about my moves irritates me. I shouldn't play at all truth be known, but life keeps moving forward on me anyway.
ADDED: Well it isn't THAT bad but I almost walked away yesterday so it's a slow climb back, I guess.
you can do quick analysis which takes a min. just look at where you/your opponent blundered and figure out why it was a blunder and what should of been played instead
for a deep analysis it takes like 10 mins where you do that process for every move basically
Thank you, Boris, but I'm not trying to analyze the entire game here - just showing an ugly current position. This is an ongoing Daily game and I shouldn't even have shown it, truth be known. So I won't read your suggestion. I still appreciate it very much. :-)
Position isn’t the end of the world, maybe. Sure, you don’t want to end up in an endgame with those pawns, but with queens on there’s still a lot of play here. His king isn’t super safe…

King not safe. One of my favorite things to do is draw the king pawns out to expose him. It absolutely TICKLES me. It ends up creating a chute like arrows pointing right at his big fat ugly King butt. :-) I get out the salt and pepper, ready to dine.
ADDED: This all takes place only in my mind and rarely comes to fruition but I sure enjoy the images!
Hey forum, I just resigned this game because it, being Daily, shouldn't have been exposed to forum for possible input anyway. I got ahead of myself ... sometime I'm known for. So to keep things proper, I gave it away. It STILL is another success in my (strange) book.
Oh good thing I didn't give analysis I was about to but couldn't be bothered 💀
Oh. I did not mean to offend. Truly. You KNOW what I think of you, right?
Anything more ugly?
Than three stacked pawns? ...
Fret not, you have bobby for company

I once had a game where both me and my opponent had isolated doubled pawns alternating on the same file.
Like this:
Surprisingly, it was a very boring game. Those four pawns completely closed the position better than any normal pawn chain could. It ultimately ended when my opponent hung a back-rank mate.
Aw this is a really interesting position though
Black should play Rd8 here because it indirectly defends the a pawn
Rd8 Rxa6?? Qxa6!!!!!! Nxa6 d2 and because black played Rd8 there's no Qg4 defence available so it's 0-1
But after Rd8 Ra1 it's probably better for white
Than three stacked pawns? Maybe I'll go for four next! In truth though, defending this mess is simply impossible. No matter what it takes, I will NEVER EVER let three get stacked again!
