The puzzle for today, why would black not simply take white queen after first move?

Whether it wins material, or is an even trade, there are lots of potential reasons to not capture a queen.

But of course on the first move, it's illegal.

I thought it was some weird riddle. I didn't think it might be the daily puzzle.

Yeah, it's mate in 2 vs mate in 3.

In real games sometimes it's mate in 2 vs you can escape... so don't just mindlessly capture stuff... like I said, many potential reasons.
